Colours used for bathrooms have traditionally been safe and neutral. White and neutral colours have been a long time trend for the bathroom. The new trend is brighter and bolder colours.
If you don’t want to go all out with the colour, there are ways to add a splash of colour without breaking the bank. One of the simplest ways to add colour is to purchase colourful towels and display them on open shelving. You can also add a colourful picture or other accessories.
Adding More Colour
If you want to add more colour to your bathroom, but still don’t want to go with an all-out colour change, consider painting your cabinets and trim in a bright bold colour. Pink, yellow, Turquoise, Orange, and Emerald are all great choices. You can also get a bathroom friendly rug. You can also choose accent tiles for a bright pop of colon. Accent tiles are a great way to change the look of your bathroom on a budget.
Going All Out
If you would like to go really bold with your bathroom, tiles are a great way to do so. You can find them in nearly any colour and style imaginable. Consider choosing a bold colour for your shower area. Then choose a softer complimentary colour for your floors and walls. Choose floor tiles and wall paint in the complementary colour. This lets you make a bold statement without it being overwhelming. Jewel tones like emerald, sapphire, and ruby are great for this. You can also use mosaic tiles with contrasting colours to create creative geometric patterns.
